on the water

It is not surprising that many guests visiting the Island are eager to see the sites via the water. We have several experienced tour guides, watermen, or captains who can accommodate you and show you sites. The Inn provides complimentary use of kayaks, canoes, and life jackets for guest use. We can also provide guests with a laminated map of our acres of kayak trials.

land lovers

We realize that not all of our guests are water folks, and many prefer to spend their time on land. The Island offers opportunities to stroll our tree-lined flower-filled streets and see roses, camellias, gardenias, fig trees, Crape myrtles, and pomegranates. The Inn has a selection of bicycles including tandem bicycles and child sized bikes. Bicycling on the Island enables guests to ride around the town of Ewell, and make their way to the southern-most part of the Island which ends abruptly at the Boat Yard. Historical tours can be arranged which include a personalized 45-60 minute tour. We can also arrange golf cart rentals for guests who prefer to ride their way around the Island.
